Who is the creator and facilitator of Lead, Guide, Walk Beside?
Katie Nelson, M.Ed
Katie has been implementing positive interaction techniques with children since 2000, and began teaching a positive parenting course in 2005. She consistently taught positive behavioral skills weekly in her privately owned preschool with children of all abilities and behaviors. She has opportunities to implement daily with her own four children.
Education:
Master's of Education in Early Childhood Special Education, University of Utah. Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, University of Utah.
Work Experience: Owned and operated private in-home preschool Hands On Preschool for 6 years. Past work experience as a preschool Special Education Consultant for Davis School District, and a Head Start Lab preschool teacher in Salt Lake City, UT .
